Fractional support · Seniority without the headcount

You need the experience. You do not need the headcount.

Experienced operators placed into your business on an interim or fractional basis — covering a gap, steadying a situation, or providing seniority a smaller platform cannot justify full time.

The problem

Two situations produce the same problem. Someone leaves at the worst possible moment and the role cannot sit empty through a leasing cycle. Or the business needs a discipline it cannot yet justify hiring for — asset management, ESG, revenue, marketing — and the choice is a full-time appointment or nothing.

Both are usually solved badly: the work is absorbed by people who already have jobs, and quietly stops being done.

What is included

  • Maternity, sickness and notice-period cover

  • Transition management between outgoing and incoming permanent hires
  • Fixed-term project leadership for mobilisations and system implementations

From the bench, not a database

Interim and fractional placements come from our own associate network — people we have worked with, whose judgement we can vouch for. That is a smaller pool than an agency database and a considerably more reliable one.

Common questions

Asked often enough to answer here.

How quickly can an interim be in place?

For roles our associate bench covers directly, typically two to three weeks. A more specialised requirement takes longer, and we will say so at the first conversation rather than promise a date we cannot hold.

What is a fractional director?

A fractional director provides senior expertise on a part-time, ongoing basis — typically one to four days a month — rather than as a full-time appointment. It suits businesses that need the discipline and the accountability but do not have the scale to justify a permanent hire.

Most people arrive with a scheme that is not performing, an operator they cannot read, or a board paper due Friday. Any of those is a fine place to start. Thirty minutes, no proposal attached.
