Dan Smith founded RESI Consultancy after almost a decade in student accommodation operations, where he ran leasing campaigns, wrote operating budgets, mobilised buildings and defended performance to owners — the perspective the practice is now built on.

He is a founding team member of VerbaFlo, the conversational AI platform for residential real estate, now used across more than 300,000 units.
He co-hosts HOUSED: The Shared Living Podcast weekly with Sarah Canning and Deenie Lee of The Property Marketing Strategists, and speaks, hosts and moderates across the sector’s conference circuit.
The practice was shortlisted for Agency of the Year at the 2023 Student Accommodation Conference and Awards, alongside JLL, Knight Frank, Savills and CBRE.
